I became interested in the Alton project when an open-house-style meeting was held in Stewiacke. A company presented a proposal to drill for petroleum based on the reef model of western Canada, a sound proposal. There was no mention of drilling for storing gas in dissolved cavities in salt.

Recently, I have become concerned about what the host structure is for the proposed gas storage. I was able to gather the following information.
